I also like the idea the crack in his face is worse than people allowed to see

Hunter froze from the familiar voice as he snapped another robotic limb. You swear that you can hear a mixture of static and screeching from the other as the body became lifeless. Then his ears perks and his bright blue quills starts to stand with stress. The hedgehog knows this voice all too well. Taking an a deep breath, the criminal turns around. Wearing a hoodie and a vest underneath, the scuffed leather boots we're showing it's tear and same with his now torn gloves.

Letting out a feral growl at her and glares at the pink sight. Gripping the arm out of tension as the sparks from the wire crackled from the torso.

".....What...do you want?"

IHNMAIMS radio drama gave us the most toxic yaoi lol

Always been vaguely aware of IHNMAIMS due to its massive influence in sci-fi horror but never really got to it. Came across eggonalegg's animatic on youtube (It's a very lovely animatic!) and it pushed me to finally delve into it. Thoughts below:

I think the radio drama and the original short story are very different (style and characterisation). I liked the radio version a lot more.

AM is such a unique take on an AI villain. I'm surprised that not many other AI villains share his motives. He's so envious of the human experience: the big things, the little things. You can hear the desperate yearning in his hysteria. I want to put him in a blender, rotate him in a microwave etc etc.

The original short story, on the other hand, is a sci-fi classic but it is also shock horror ⚠️ The story aims to be incredibly cruel, sick, and unpleasant - a hallmark of this genre. I won't personally recommend it, as aspects of its horror are very dated - just something to keep in mind.

Anyways, longform comic of THAT monologue from the radio drama coming - not soon but - sometimes!

77. Ballad of the Walking Machines — CG5, JT Music

Ohhh I'm so glad I finally get to draw to Ballad of the Walking Machines!! This one has been rattling around in my head since last year's wrapped drawings, but I was never able to put any of my thoughts onto paper!

On Bdubs' playlist, this song has always stuck to me as a representation of the other side of all of the horrors Etho's undergone over the course of Season 8, set during Destruction as Bdubs waits outside of the lab for what's supposed to be a relative simple diagnostic appointment, so he was told. As Bdubs, completely unaware than anything was even wrong with Etho until the start of the season, waits with baited breath to hear if his friend is okay, he's remind of their rough beginnings and how far he's come, both as a person and as Etho's friend. The tension that had come from a place of fear now comes from a desperate hope that Etho will be okay, and Ballad of the Walking Machines really well represents the juxtaposition between Bdubs' original fears of androids and his fear and hope in the present day that his dear friend will be okay.

So huhhh... new au? I don't know yet. I made this mostly thinking about how this guy would be like, really big. This could be like a post-apocalyptic with a touch of Indiana Jones(?) or something.

It's just Y/N who is exploring and collecting strange and valuable items from the ruins of cities, when they stumble upon this big "thing". I wonder if he still works?

(Well, I don't think I ever mentioned that I have a bit of a morbid fascination with abandoned things/places, even though I'm absolutely terrified of them. Yes, that explains my mechaMer!Sun and Moon as well)
